OK, I have XP Pro with multiple users on the machine in
question. One of my accounts got locked out (and on first
P/W attempt, first odd thing because I have lockout set to
3 in Group Policy) So when I log in to "Administrator" I
unlock the account and change the password then log out.
When I get back to the welcome screen the account is not
there, and when I use the 2000 login it tells me the
account is locked out. When I go back into Administrator
to see what is going on the account is not shown in my
list of accounts in the control panel. When I attempt to
create another account with the name of the apparently
deleted account it tells me that it is in use. So now when
I create a different account (or log into any other) the
files are still in the Documents and Settings folder. Any
ideas as to what causes this, and what I can do from here.
