XP Pro File Sharing Concerns

I have loaded XP Pro into my computer and am no longer
able to access shared files, although the other computer
on this network can access the shared files fine, as in
the past before XP Pro was loaded.

Any suggestions as to what the problem is and how it can
be corrected.
