Donald:

Did you every find secpol.msc? I am in the same boat you
are and went through the same searches. When I type it
in the run box, I get "file not found". I have Home
Edition of WinXP as factory installed on the HP laptops.

Cheers!

in all parts of the hard drive, including system folders,
hidden folders, and subfolders. Search wizard came up
with no file matching this secpol.msc. I am using a
standard installation of Home Edition.
