I have a new, AMD Duron based box, with a fresh Install of
XP. When I manually tell the machine to hibernate, it
does so. But when I leave it alone for the day it does
not hibernate using it's timers. I have the timers in the
power management constrol panel set to turn both the
monitor and hardrives off after 10 minutes. It has also
been set to go into standby after 10 minutes. It is then
set to hibernate after 15 minutes, but never does. I have
had other timeouts in there and they worked no
differently, I have these setting's in there to make it
easier to track this issue down. Does anyone have any
ideas?
