Thankyou for the advice Roger. I obviously want to
get rid of the Nimda virus but Norton Anti Virus
does not seem to be capable of getting rid of it.
I'm not too sure what function a virus/detection
program serves if it can detect but not take counter
measures against the virus.

The info I have seen on Norton's site talk about a
patch for fixing a vulnerability in IE Ver 5. Is it
naive to assume that IE Ver 6(what I have on my machine)
includes this patch?

In any case, what do I do to get rid of Nimda? Norton
Anti Virus has been installed on this machine from the
supplier(Dell) so I am somewhat surprised that that I
have this problem.

How does one clean out Nimda?
