The game itself is designed for Windows 95/98, which means it isn't current.
I suggest you try uninstalling what you have now and reboot. Then put the
CD in the drive, go to Start/Run/Browse and go to the root of the CD to find
either setup.exe or install.exe. Once found, right-click the file, select
Run As... and then install in compatibility mode for Win95/98. Apparently
this is a two-CD set, but just setting up the install on CD1 should take
care of the entire install. Once installed, go to the link which will
launch the game, right-click and select Properties/Compatibility tab and
again select to run it in Win95/98 mode. If you're running Windows XP Home,
you will need to let your daughter be part of the Administrative group. If
you are running Pro, go into Control Panel/Folder Options/View tab. Down at
the bottom is "Use simple file sharing (Recommended)." Remove the check
mark. Then go into Windows Explorer, find the folder in which the game was
installed, right-click on it and select Sharing and Security, then the
Security tab. Click on the Limited account your daughter is using and give
her the appropriate rights to make the game function in the second pane.
