hi, i pretty much have the exact same problem as the
original poster. there is no way for me to logon to my
old xp installation and i need to recover my files.
everytime i try to access them it says "access denied".
i tried to turn off simple file sharing like suggested in
the last post, but i cannot figure out how to do that. i
do not have a security tab when i go to tools, folder
options, view. is there some other way to do this? by
the way, i have xp home edition not professional, i don't
know if that makes a difference or not. Thanks you so
much to anyone who can help me out.
