I posted a message a couple of days ago "Attack of My
Firewall" I had an alert saying I had an attack. When I
went to start my computer on the next session it
had said this.
The executable has changed since the last time you used:.
I still have not accepted the changes but executable is
trying to send outgoing information everyday and my
security log is telling me it's major severity.
I got some very good advice from MSS@hotmail.com -
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
"Go to the command prompt (Start, Run, Type: cmd)
Type: sfc /scannow
This command will scan all the system files on your
machine. If there is a file that has been overwritten by
a process it may prompt you to enter the XP CD to
replace
the file with the original version. This way you can be
sure that all your OS files are intact."

I performed this process and was never prompted for my XP
CD. Can I go into my ntoskrnl.exe, the file that seems to
have been affected and re-install it by right clicking it
and choose install ( with my XP CD in my drive)?
