my XP Pro boxes. I designate "Winexit.scr" as the screen
saver of choice. I also disable the users ability to
change the screen saver...Its all in the same path using
gpedit.msc as described...

The best solution is to setup a local Group Policy for
your workstation. It will enforce your selection for all
accounts, now on your system or new ones in the future
without having to go into the accounts and tweak them.

Start | Run | GPEDIT.MSC

expand User Configuration | Administrative Templates |
Control Panel | Display

You have two entries that Screen Saver Executable Name &
Screen Saver Timeout that you can set and no one will be
able to over ride. There is also Password Protect the
Screen Saver.

I set one of my multi-user workstations to run the
WinExit.SCR file so that anyone who goes idle for a while
is logged off, instead of locking the workstation. I hate
to have the workstation locked cause when I try to unlock
it, I do not know if there was anything running.
