Alex,
I just started getting the same problem this past
weekend. I don't get a message, but each time I boot up,
I get the original computer manufacturer's screen and I
lose everything that I had before. I know my stuff is
still in the computer because I can find program files,
etc., when I go to Windows Explorer. But all my programs
and internet explorer try to get me to start with new
programs and internet setup. What a bummer. Somehow,
the computer has deep-sixed my user profile information.
