XP Default user profiles...is there such a thing?!?

Back in the day of NT4 ( which we are still using ) it was
easy for an admin to setup the 'default user' profile so
that whenever a domain user logged on that machine, they
would get the same desktop and user specific settings as
all other users who logged on that particular machine.
Now that we are moving to XP Pro, I do not see my old
favorite 'default user' profile. Am I now forced to
configure each and every user separately to have the same
desktop and settings or is there a policy edit or regedit
that lets me do this. Thanks for you help.
