I do know that if you use the same user name when you create accounts
following a new installation, you aren't guaranteed to be able to access
anything from the former setup. After this last reinstall I even created an
addtional admin account with a totally different name, went through all of
the security settings to take ownership, and the folder was still locked.
Believe me, if I didn't think that someone here knew something that I
didn't, I wouldn't be posting in the first place.
I guess my wishful thinking of being able to use the same user name and
access anything was left behind in WinME.
