What have the vendors of your games said about THEIR requirement to run as
an administrator account ??

The fact that a games demands that it be run under an administrative account
may point to just poor or sloppy design or coding in the game, it may also
be the only way that the games developers could get around any "security"
the home user may have tried to enforce on the PC without being fully aware
of what their actions are.

Very little I presume - it is an issue for the software developer to address

Indeed if you choose to run software that requires compromises in security
on your systems then that is your choice.
Get and use only better or more security aware software.
