I just installed XP a few weeks ago here on my home
computer. It's on a cable modem. This morning I saw a
message window that looked like a system type of window
(gray, non discript) that said it was from ADMINISTRATOR.
I clicked on it and it was an advertisement!!! This
didn't look like those pesky webpages that pop up with
ads, this looked like a system window. Can people get
into my computer with administrative access via the cable
modem and send me messages?? If so, how do I stop that??
Is there a firewall in XP that I need to set up?? OR,
should I use a program like zone alarm.
Thanks,
Rebecca
