Encryption & reinstalation

My HD is divided in to 5 drives, Win XP using C: After my
6 month evealuation copy ran out I purchased XP Pro,
initiated setup and formatted C: for the replacement
retail copy. All of my encrypted files (EVERYTHING!) is
no longer accesible I pressume as it thinks that someone
else is trying to access the files. Is there ANY way
that I can get to these files??? Some graphic & video
files are the only copy that exists, all help would be
sincerely appreciated.
