Have you modified the IWAM_computername account ?
0x80004005 is usually a missing permissions problem
Server 50x errors are often because the web is no longer
marked as an application in the IIS mgmt interface.
Are INTERACTIVE and Authenticated Users still members
in the Users group ?
Verify that
the web is an application (on the home properties ***)
the storage area has correct permissions
IWAM_* has not been renamed
