Are you using a login script?
Can the same user log in successfully to an NT workstation?
If you use net use * /del to delete the mapped drives and then manually
re-run the login script, does it work?
Note that roaming user profiles are not compatible between NT and 2k, and
thus I'd presume XP as well...
