I understand what you said up to getting Adminpak for XP
beta 3. After that I lost you.

I'm in the same position that "Jeff" described - I have an
XP workstation from which I want to manage NT & 2000
servers. The adminpak.msi from the W2K server CD wouldn't
install on the XP workstation. Where/how are you going to
get the tools that aren't included in XP adminpak beta 3?
Are you saying that it is just the installer that won't
work on XP and that the tools themselves can be copied
from a W2K machine that has the tools intalled?
