As a Power User in Windows XP, you can load Software like
the Administrator (except for legacy software which
changes the OS(MS Web Site) - even though in XP Groups
Folder (in Computer Management), it say that Power Users
can run Legacy applications in addition to certified
applications). So how come then, when as a Power User, I
try to install the downloaded free version of Adobe
Acrobat Reader 5.05, I get through 99% of the
InstallShield Wizard, it hits 100% and then I get a
message saying "Only members of the Administrator's group
can run this setup. Setup will now exit." Does anyone
know what's so funky about this Free Adobe Acrobat Reader
5.0 download that will not let it be installed by a
Windows XP Power User, when this Power User has no trouble
loading any Macromedia Software which is definitely
changing the registry. Is the Free Download of Adobe
Reader 5.0 designed for Windows XP Logo because according
to Adobe's Web site "In general, Adobe applications that
haven't yet received the Designed for Windows XP Logo need
to be installed and used by Administrators.". Can anybody
verify if Adobe Reader is Designed for Windows XP Logo or
direct me some on Adobe's site where I may find more
information about the Free Download of Adobe Reader 5.0
and Windows XP Power Users. My name is Tom and would love
any help or Advice - Everybody tells me it should load and
Microsoft doesn't comment. You can answer me here or e-
mail me at bullbaa@Yahoo.com
Thanks
