Inquiring minds would like to know some specifics:

Specifically, why do you say "it is still not particularly good"?

Specifically, why to you say "it is rather invasive"?

Specifically, have you even used/tested the new OneCare v2.5?

I do believe that you are in over your head (again). She actually
works on computers, while all you do is copy-and-paste replies to
posts here and in the XP groups.

If you are unhappy with AVG8, then uninstall it.

Install a robust, comprehensive, security program,
such as Windows OneCare, and you'll not have to
worry about those issues. You can try it FREE
for ninety (90) days. This is a brand new version
and is very robust! Uses very little system resources!

OneCare includes:

-- An excellent antivirus application
-- An excellent firewall application
-- An excellent antispyware application
-- Automatic system tune-ups
-- Automatic hard drive defrag
-- Checks for updates to be sure they are installed
-- Schedules automatic backups of important files
-- New version 2.5 just released - designed to work
exceptionally well with Windows Vista & XP.
-- Compatible with Windows Vista 64-bit versions
-- All-in-one convenient, easy to install application

Lord, Carey you'd think you worked for the company what with these
commercials you keep posting. While OneCare may be better than it was (it
can hardly be worse), it is still not particularly good. In addition it is
rather invasive, you can't install some other antimalware programs, and you
must have a Windows Live account to use it.

Not recommended for all those reasons.
