2008 CA revocation/autoenrollment process...

I have revoked a certificate and published a new CRL at my stand-alone
2008 CA. I have also set the GPO that deletes revoked certificates.
When I go to the server that has the certificate installed the status
says "OK". After running gpupdate nothing changes. Also, when I
export the certificate and run certutil -verify on the certificate it
doesn't return any errors. There is obviously something I'm doing
wrong or something I don't understand. Can someone give me a pointer?
