File Permission

Hi,

I am using windows server 2003, the hard disk format is NTFS, when I try to
give file permission it asked to change the format to NTFS in order to use
this feature, I can't understand that, its NTFS..

... When I reopen the file and try to save it I get the error message "Word ... cannot complete the save due to a file permission error" ... I can open and edit files on a USB drive ... Reformat the USB drive to NTFS ...
