Well, not for your problem. Login attempts are normal, and you might better stop logging them.
An additional problem that you might have is that FTP sends username, password and all files in cleartext, so they can be sniffed when you login over an external network (like the internet). Better use a layer of crypto (SSL, SSH, VPN, IPsec) or a protocol with integrated crypto.
