I cannot map a drive from one server to another.
start \\x.x.x.x\c$ will work
but start \\netbiosname\c$ will fail and giove me an error
on the client server trying to make a mapping to the remote server I get
this in event log
Event Type: Error
Event Source: Kerberos
Event Category: None
Event ID: 4
Date: 3/19/2008
Time: 1:39:16 PM
User: N/A
Computer: xxxxxxxxxxx
Description:
The kerberos client received a KRB_AP_ERR_MODIFIED error from the server
host/xxxxxxxx.domain.com. The target name used was cifs/xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.
This indicates that the password used to encrypt the kerberos service ticket
is different than that on the target server. Commonly, this is due to
identically named machine accounts in the target realm (xxxxxxxxx), and the
client realm. Please contact your system administrator.
For more information, see Help and Support Center at
http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp.
Also when trying to map to it
start \\netbiosname\c$
gives this error
\\server is not accessible. you might not have permission to use this
netowrk resouce. contact the adminitrator of this server to find out if you
have access permissions.
Logon Failure: The target account name is incorrect
