use the GPMC to edit the password and account lockout settings in the Default Domain GPO...
Did you know W2K8 at Domain Functional Level supports MULTIPLE password and account lockout settings per domain?
If not see:

Hi: I have a fresh install of server2008 standard, which I immediately installed active directory on and made it the DC of a new forest.
After restarting, and logging in as the Admin, I went into local security policy / account policies / password policy, but I can't change the "maximum password age"...it's grayed out and I want to set it to "0" so passwords don't expire?
