Hello,
You will want to reset the firewall service in the registry.
First, from the command prompt, stop the service.
C:\> Net Stop SharedAccess
Second, backup the key. Run Regedit and browse to the following key.
Export it (File > Export ...) to back the key up, then delete it.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\SharedAccess
Third, reset the key. Open Microsoft article 892199. Copy the text
under "A similar output file for the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM
\CurrentControlSet\Services\SharedAccess registry subkey will contain
text that resembles the following text" section. Create a text file
named SharedAccessDefault.reg and paste in the text. Save and import
SharedAccessDefault.reg .
Forth, reboot and then reset the firewall. Once Windows comes up,
login and reset from the command prompt.
C:\> Netsh Firewall Reset
You should then be able to access the Windows firewall tab on the
network connection properties.
