"Allow inheritable permissions" checkbox is unchecked...

Hi,
In the Properties Pages for some of the files on my Win2003 server, the
"Allow inheritable permissions from the parent to propagate to this object
and all child objects. Include these with entries explicitly defined here."
checkbox is unchecked, while for others it is checked. I'm not sure how some
of them got unchecked, but I want this checkbox checked for all items at all
levels within this particular folder.
Do I have to go through the entire folder structure and look at the property
pages for each file to know which ones I have to check the box for, or is
there a better way? Can I specifiy this somewhere at the parent folder and
let it trickle down to all the children files and folders? Is there a
program that will do this for me?
Thanks in advance,
Jason
