Hi,
Can you give some info about your Firewall, MSN 8.1 uses standart msn ports
but if it find 80 tcp port MSN 8.1 will connect to internet from tcp 80, so
it wont work to close msn file transfer ports. You have written Windows X P
fw , do you want to block file transfer for one computer? or do you want to
block from firewall ?
for windows xp check internet for Msn file transfer ports..
MSN Outgoing File Transfers: Protocol TCP, Outgoing, Remote Port 6891-6900,
MSN Incoming File Transfers: Protocol TCP, Incoming, Local Port 6891-6900,
But when you close these ports MSN 8.1 will connect through 80 tcp port. You
can use 3rd party firewall such as Symantec end point (symantec 11) or bit
defender internet security.
good luck

Hi ...
No matter the way... using a HW firewall or SW firewall (like Windows
XP Firewall), I need to restrict it to 600 users in a network, by the
way we have Cisco routers and firewalls.
How Could I restrict the users to download and upload stuff using MSN?
Thanks a lot for answering
