| I too have this, but I think it's funny that you say it's on your home

Funny or not, a few HTTPS sites; TS and other services which I use on my
home PC require Windows Server. By the way the Server is just as good for a
multimedia workstation as XP is.

| You have to set the option to reset connection after disconnect on the
| server, otherwise it just sits there...
No, I am fine with the manual session reset (rwinsta.exe).

| 2 accounts, each with their own password. Like Roger said, 1 password
| per account.
|
| #1- connects then gets disconnected...
| #2 is used to reset it....
|
| What you are overlooking, what if they both get disconnected?? SOL
| then....
Well the local console does not depend on the network and therefore cannot
disconnect by it self ;-)
| Have it set where the connection is reset after disconnection... and
| you'll be happy...
I prefer to reset sessions manually. I have warned my friend to be more
careful.
Thank You very much, RedForeman!
What I've usually done is install a Windows2k Server, and install
terminal services, plug it into the network and it acts as a
workstation, but you would connect from the outside world to it, then
use the TS as a workstation with whatever accts you want on it... then
you have the ability to RDP to your network and the managability and
flexibility that the Terminal Server gives you... it has built in
connection resets and timers for just that sort of thing... I like
it. The reason I suggest win2k is there are no licensing issues with
terminal server, in win2k3, you MUST license terminal server, but not
in win2k...
