Hi
We have recently updated our Windows 2003 Server. The update was
successful.
Could you kindly help us to verify the current updates running in the
server.
P.S Its not showing the current updates in the control panel.
I am not sure what you are wanting.
If you mean in Add/Remove Programs, you need to check the
show updates box if you want to see them listed.
The normal way to verify is to visit Microsoft Update and let
it check, which only requires route from your machine to the
Microsoft Update site for tcp 80/443.
Alternatively, one can install MBSA and check, perhaps most
usefully if the needed network route does not / cannot exist, by
cd to MBSA install point and using mbsacli.
mbsacli /? will show you the syntax. If you use /n OS+...
everything except Updates and the switch to provide the cab
file which you would need to download and move to the machine,
then you will test only update status without network access to
the internet via tcp 80/443.
