Wireless Security - External CA Setup

What is the recommended setup for securing a wireless network with
Certificates? We would like to use a third-party CA, so we do not have to
maintain the certificate server.

Infrastructure -

Win2003 native domain
Win2003 Enterprise servers
Win XP SP2 laptop clients
Cisco ACS Radius Server

Do I need to install a CA on a server to communicate with the external CA?
If I have an external CA, how do my laptops communicate with the external
CA?

Thanks
