Hello!

Just to follow up I have done some more investigating without much
success unfortunately.

I managed to export my certificate to a PKCS#12 file (.pfx). From that
file I extracted the public certificate (.cer) and the private key
file (.pvk). I then converted the .cer file to a .spc file.

Using the .pvk file and the .spc file I again tried to sign an exe
using SIGNTOOL.

Unfortunately I still get the same error as before.

My certificate is marked with "Code signing".

All the above work was done using OpenSSL and the latest signtool.exe
from Win2003 SDK R2 on a WinXP with SP2 and IE6 installed.

The testing was done on a Win2003 server with SP1 and IE7 installed.

Erik
