Roger:
The was no login password - I purposely omitted it to facilitate his
logging in - there is no possibility of other users.
The login screen says something to the effect that "this computr is
locked and can only be accessed by the administrator" - to be honest,
I haven't actually seen it as he is in another state.
What is the procedure when there was no password and none was entered
by him when he activated it ?
TIA,
G

The password would be the one for the account logged in..
If the system automatically logs in, and so the unknown pwd,
then reboot it, and as soon as it is up and you are in, either
undo the change or change password to known value.

My father accidentally enabled the "on resume password protect"
feature when affecting his settings however now is locked out with no
known password. Any thoughts on how to disable this feature when I
cannot get into Windows?
BTW - XP Pro, SR2
TIA,
G
