Re: Encrypted Files - Access Denied

Do you have a copy of the EFS cert used to encrypt file?

Do you have a copy of the EFS recovery cert? (This is a dedicated cert or
possibly the user that installed AD)

Last but not least, assuming the EFS cert used to encrypt file is corrupted,
do you have a way of recovering that certificate?

I have an encrypted file that I cannot access anymore - access denied. I
am listed as the 'Users who can transparently access this file', and I am a
Domain and Enterprise Admin.

I changed my password last week, and it seems to have occurred after that.
Also, I have restored the file from months ago to a new location, and the
file is still encrypted and access denied.

Help!
