Re: Hide folders / files with no access

In article <#LXI#XI6GHA.4500@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>, in the

Thanks for the info. It appears this only works on Shared Folders. How can
you prevent using ServerName\DriveLetter$ in explorer to see folders?

If your users are able to connect to \\Server\DriveLetter$ then they
are Administrators on those servers and you've got bigger problems than
needing to hide shares. The $ shares are administrative shares and only
Administrators have access to those shares. If they've got
administrative access to the servers it really doesn't matter what you
try to do with regards to hiding folders, administrators will be able
to overcome anything you may attempt.
