Even more confusing is fact that the three that you mentionWell, I made the mistake of applying the permissions at the "Advanced"
Read Attributes
Read Extended Attributes
Read Permissions
are part of a standard grant of List
level, which doesn't follow the KISS principle. When I said "list" before I
meant List Folder/Read Data. Anyway, the effective permissions for what
I've added now gives Read and Execute to Everyone for "This folder only",
which does the job. Still can't figure out why the other folder worked
without adding the additional permissions though. There is still some
mystery in life.
