Re: How to Stop Auditing Local Settings History Folder?

Set auditing on the parent folder, specifying that you want the new settings
to replace the current settings on all child folders & files. Then clear
the auditing on the parent folder, again overwriting.

Then set the auditing you want on the parent folder, specifying that you
want auditing to NOT apply to subfolders. Then set auditing on the other
folders that you want to audit, which are at the same level as the history
folder.

Best regards,
Eric

I have a heavy level of file auditing turned. I would like to turn it off
for c:\Document & Settings \ <user> \Local Settings\History.
Unfortunately
this "folder" appears to be a special kind of folder and does not have a
normal security tab when I look at its properties. How can I turn
change
auditing attributes for this folder and all folders and files under it?
