How to Stop Auditing Local Settings History Folder?

I have a heavy level of file auditing turned. I would like to turn it off
for c:\Document & Settings \ <user> \Local Settings\History. Unfortunately
this "folder" appears to be a special kind of folder and does not have a
normal security tab when I look at its properties. How can I turn change
auditing attributes for this folder and all folders and files under it?
