See the KB article below on 1202 errors that may help as it has a specific
section on 0x2 warnings and how to troubleshoot them. The like from
Eventid.net may also help if you look for feedback from those that also had
and 0x2 warnings. You can also use esentutl to check the integrity of the
local secedit.sdb and attempt to repair it as shown in the last link that
also applies to Windows 2003 which is probably what I would do first.. ---

Run esentutl /g to check the integrity of the security database at
%windir%\Security\Database\Secedit.sdb.
If the database is corrupt:
1.
Attempt to recover it by running esentutl /r on the %windir%\Security
folder. If this fails, attempt to repair it by running with esentutl /p on
%windir%\Security\Database\Secedit.sdb.
2.
After that, delete the log files in %windir%\Security.

Hi all,
I have the following error in my eventlog.
Event Type: Warning
Event Source: SceCli
Event Category: None
Event ID: 1202
Description:
Security policies were propagated with warning. 0x2 : The system cannot
find the file specified.
The file specified... isn't specified. Anyway.
I think this might be secedit.sdb, because my Group Policy Object
Editor is complaining about not being able to find it either.
secedit.sdb doesn't exist anywhere on the system, and I don't know why.
When looking for solutions on this problem, the general advise is to
delete the files in the windows/security folder, and let the system
remake them during boot up. This doesn't happen for some reason on this
machine. I don't know if that's because it's a 2003 server?
I've used secedit /configure /cfg %windir%\repair\secsetup.inf /db
secsetup.sdb /verbose to regenerate secsetup.sdb and secedit /configure
/cfg %windir%\repair\secDC.inf /db secDC.sdb /verbose for the
secsetup.sdb file.
I wondered if there is such an inf file for secedit.sdb? I've looked
for secedit.inf in the repair folder, but there isn't any.
Does anyone have a solution for this problem?
Kind regards,
Sytse
.
