You probably should direct this information to the Windows
Defender people at the newsgroups they are using

I am running Windows Server 2003 Terminal Services and upgraded
anti-spyware
to Windows Defender. It appeared successful; however, it caused the
server
to crash several times before I relieved it was the cause.
The server would start to get sluggish and then eventually reboot. The
error message that came up after the reboot said the failure was caused by
an
unknown driver. I found that if I went into services and restarted the
spooler it would work fine again for about 2 hours. Uninstalling Defender
the system works fine again. My RAM and CPU usage levels appeared normal.
We are running almost all HP laserjet printers but there are a couple of
users from home with a brother QL-550, and a couple of cannons.
