Re: Blaster Worm/Unfirewalled Setup

Enable the built in Windows Firewall before you connect to the internet.
That will be adequate to protect your computer until you download your
software and get your updates.I would never connect any computer to the
internet without firewall protection. You can always disable Windows
Firewall later if you want to use a different host firewall but I would do
that when disconnected from the internet. Otherwise download your software
firewall and antivirus software ahead of time so that it can be installed
and configured before you connect to the internet. The Security
Configuration Wizard can also help you lockdown your server based on role
and needs. --- Steve
