Thanks for the response, Andrew. I'm glad to hear that I'm not alone in the
battle with 2003 SP1.
However, I was able to do an on-site visit and my problem was far simpler
than it first appeared. My suspicions were confirmed when I looked in
Component Services at the DCOM entry for my object. It was, in fact,
"locked down," and did not allow anyone to instantiate it, locally. A few
clicks of the mouse and the third-party component fired up, normally.
And, for those of you who need help with COM+ or COM help, just search the
group for "Hayes."
