When I use the Remote Desktop tool mstsc.exe to create a .RDP file, one of
the
options is to set the username and password and save these in the file so
that when a remote desktop connection is made later it will log you in
automatically. In examining a .RDP file, the username is stored in clear
text. The password on the other hand is (rightly so) encrypted. What I would
like to do is be create my own .RDP files in code and perform my own
password encryption to match whatever is required by mstsc.exe. Does anyone
know
what encryption is used for storing the password in a MS Windows .RDP file?
