Greetings,
I am the system administrator of a high school. I am running a Windows 2003
based active directory with roaming profiles for the students. I have set
the MyDocs folder as a redirection to a central collection on our
datawarehouse server. The students are ripping CD's using windows media
player and saving the mp3s/wma's to their my documents folders under my
music. Aside from this process being illegal, it is also consuming vast
storage resources on our network. I would like to search though all of these
folders (my docs) on the server and delete all music files. However,
Administrator does not have access, or ownership of the folders, and I
cannot access the data. I could reset the rights for each folder, but with
1500 users, this could be rather tedious.
Does anyone have suggestions?
