    Thanks for the reply Dana. You're correct; I granted Everyone full control
    and was able to open the file and make changes. However, since I don't want
    to grant Everyone full control, I created another share and put my Excel
    file in it, and granted Everyone full control. I was also able to open the
    file and make changes. Is this my only option?
