Hi Chriss,

My Opinion:

Every class but the top class is a inherited class and they are usually
extended, however it's still a class. You are able to count the number
of classes in the schema-mmc. An object is a instance of a class and
may be extended dynamically if your forest mode is WS2k3. There's no
such thing as a "top" object, top is just a class and there's no object
instanciated of it.
