Out of the box it allows you to proactively monitor and report on the health
your servers, workstations and applications and can genrate alerts if things
are going wrong.
Some of the things it can monitor are:
Disk, CPU and network performance on servers and worksations
SQL server health
Exchange health
AD general health and replication
DHCP
DNS
IAS (RADIUS) in additional to just about any other Windows service
SNMP traps
Third party plug-ins are available to monitor other applications/devices such
as Oracle, Unix, Cisco routers etc.
