I don't know if this will help and am not familiar with SQL but look in the Local
Security Policy on the servers for an effective setting for "additional restrictions
for anonymous connections" and if it is set to "no access without explicit anonymous
permissions" that may be causing the problem from your description. See the link
below for more information on restricting anonymous access in W2K. --- Steve
