Hi There,
I usually map the shared drives, after a few hours if I open 'My Computer'
froma client machine at best I can click on the mapped drive and then it
just hangs for ages before returning saying that the network drive is
already an use and cant be connected to etc, at worst when I click on 'My
Computer' the opened windows just hangs as a whole indefinately.
I thought it may have been the client machine as they hadn't been rebuilt
for about 18 months, but recently I had a hard drive faulure in one of the
clients, so installed XP on a fresh hard drive, installed all patches
including SP2, and still the same result :-(.
It's so annoying as everything else about Win2003 is great, but I'm
seriously considering the trouble free life of a Linux samba server again.
Thanks for the help btw!
Cheers
Jonathan
