Re: read and write permission does not delete word ~ files

Ah yes on a file the only diff is delete, on a folder it is delete and deleted
folders and files.

Based on how Windows apps tend to modify files if you can write and you can
delete you can modify a file. Actually, done correctly, anyone with write should
be able to modify existing files I believe. It would involve not following the
standard method of doing updates which is a multistep process involving a delete
of the original file. Look at say access and how it works.
